As Community Manager for the MiCT Fellowship for Critical Voices, I led the onboarding and support of over 70 exiled Afghan journalists. I built a regional network across Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Bangladesh, and Turkey—offering psychosocial, technical, legal, and financial support. I organized fellow-led reporting, ensured their work continued in exile, and created safe online spaces for collaboration. I also facilitated training, liaised with UNHCR and rights groups, and helped strengthen solidarity among displaced media professionals.

Working closely with international experts and local stakeholders, I provided strategic direction for training programs on conflict-sensitive reporting, digital rights, and inclusive journalism—especially around the 2024 elections. I supported the production of over 200 multimedia stories by 60 trained journalists. I also coordinated expert procurement, conducted FGDs, and developed monitoring and evaluation tools. My focus was on ensuring democratic accountability, gender inclusion, and the amplification of marginalized voices.

I managed multi-donor programs focused on human rights, digital safety, countering disinformation, and the holistic safety of journalists and HRDs. I led initiatives funded by USAID, Forum Asia, CFLI (Canada), and Sida. My work included establishing regional networks (e.g., Afghan Exile HRDs, Peace Ambassadors), training 250+ journalists across Pakistan and Afghanistan, and facilitating critical dialogues between civil society, media, and state institutions. I also oversaw project reporting, M&E, and advocacy efforts promoting inclusion, ethics, and digital resilience.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I led a national project combatting fake news and misinformation. I managed a team of 10 reporters, developed a comprehensive editorial plan, and ensured accurate, timely public information. I wrote and edited critical reports, analyzed misinformation trends, and delivered national campaigns to boost media literacy and responsible content sharing.

I coordinated Pakistan’s first Mobile Journalism Contest, mentoring young storytellers across the country. I managed logistics, technical support, and post-production for short documentary entries. I also facilitated finalists' exposure visits to major newsrooms (Geo, Express), helping them connect with editors and promote their work through digital platforms.

As a consultant, I helped finalize annual reports for Sector Skills Councils and built a robust stakeholder directory. I facilitated communication strategies to enhance private-public coordination in Pakistan’s vocational training sector, especially in construction and hospitality industries.
